Itálie a Švýcarsko 1.díl / Italy and Switzerland part 1

My dear readers,
I´ve just got back from my trip to Italy this morning and I´m full of new experiences and impressions. There is so much to tell and show you so I hope you don´t mind if I show you one day after another. I love travelling very much so forgive me if I get into too many details.
Our journey to Varese where we stayed took 14 sometimes a little boring hours. On our way via Austria it was raining heavily and I was worried the weather would travel to Italy with us too but as soon as we crossed borders to Italy the sun came out of clouds and it remained sunny for the rest of the drive. Our accomodation was very nice, luxurious even.
The next day after breakfast we set out to Angera to explore one of the oldest castles in Lago Maggiore area called Rocca Borromea. We also visited a small collection of dolls from all corners of the world there. I just had to take a picture of russian matrioska dolls with faces of american presidents on them, it was so strange and just not right. At the castle there was a lovely small garden where there were not only beautiful flowers but also lots of fresh herbs (lavender, sage and so on) It smelled like heaven. Afterwards we went to Arona to climb on st. Charles of Borromea´s statue but as it usually happens at noon hours in Italy, the ticket salesman was having his siesta so we couldn´t do it. I at least bought a new hat there. Then we went to Stresa where we boarded a ship to Isola bella to take a walk in gardens around a palace on this gorgeous small island. It was beautiful but sometimes it felt a little cheesy for my taste. By the way have you ever seen a white peacock?! Our garden tour continued in the third world´s most beautiful garden in Villa Taranto. To be honest at the end of the day me and my boyfriend felt a little tired of all those gardens. But it was understandable because there were mostly pensioners in our tour. We were the youngest people there. So now have a look at the pics. I hope you´ll like them. See you tomorrow.

Cesta do Varese, kde jsme byli ubytovaní trvala plných a místy dost nudných 14 hodin.
K hradu patřila taky moc pěkná zahrádka, kde krom nádherných hortenzií voněla taky spousta bylinek levandulí počínaje a šalvějí konče.
